CONTENT & ACTIVITIES +
Content: This is a year long course where a Health Education and a Physical Education credit are earned in a non-traditional setting. You will dress for PE 2 to 3 times a week and be in the Health classroom 2 to 3 times a week over the course of a
year. The focus in PE will be on personal fitness, physical fitness and wellness.
Students will cover the same curriculum as the regular Sophomore PE and
Health education classes.

CONTENT & ACTIVITIES +
Content: Topics presented are: Introduction to Health, Mental Health, Death and Dying, Consumer Health, Reproduction and Human Sexuality, Fitness, Nutrition, Substance Use- Abuse, Disease, Safety, First Aid, Environment, Relationships.
Activities: Reading, discussion, speakers, multi-media, cooperative learning and some laboratory activities. Students will be required to complete regular written assignments.
