The Bartlett High School HAWKEYE staff
is proud to now offer yearlong subscriptions to our school newspaper! Receive coverage of BHS sports, activities, events, and issues at home for just $10.00!

Who can subscribe?
Anyone who might be interested in BHS—parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, alumni, all who live both in- and out-of-state—and would like to receive the paper all school year!

Why subscribe to the HawkEye
We cover Bartlett High School activities, sports, prom, senior events, and student issues exclusively.  Your subscription also allows us to continue to provide the newspaper free of charge to the entire BHS student body.

What does your $10.00 buy you?
All seven issues of the HawkEye, published in the months of October, November, December, February, March, April, and our Senior Issue in May.  Your copies of the paper will be mailed directly to your home.

How are you helping BHS?
Newspapers are an integral part of a democratic society.  Without the media, it would be impossible to have an educated voting public.  By supporting our newspaper program, you are helping us achieve our goal of graduating lifelong readers who are concerned about their community.

What does journalism teach our students?
Journalism programs offer students the opportunity to gain workplace experience, leadership skills, and cross-curricular study including the language arts, social studies, technology, and art.

"Journalism helps students think, develops their self esteem, enhances students' EQ (Emotional Quotient), teaches them to write, and develops their interest in world affairs. A study by Candace Bowen and Susan Tantillo for NCTE shows that "journalism helps students become better communicators, better thinkers and, as a result, better citizens." --Esther Wojcicki from “The Slow Death of High School Journalism”
