Eastview Satellite Kitchen

.

The Eastview Middle School satellite kitchen prepares 12,000 lunches for the District's elementary schools every day. Nancy Hagel, the Commissary Manager, coordinates the work of the 24 employees as they prepare and pack lunches and breakfasts.

Lunch trays are fed onto a conveyer where they are filled and sealed.

When the lunches are packed and ready to go, they are taken to a walk-in refrigerator where six drivers pick them up to deliver them to the elementary locations.

The middle schools and high schools each have their own kitchens where they prepare the meals for their students. Streamwood High School doubles as the location of the District Bakery where they bake and deliver the cookies packed in all the District lunches.
