MINUTES

Committee Members: Joan Hull, Janine Shelley, Richard Schroeder, Sandra Stringham, Betsy O,Connell, Jana Hite, Manuel Martinez, Jeff Lake, Kathryn Smith, Janice Such, Luz Anguiano

 I. Review of Technology Plan proposal developed by the writing team(Janine Shelley)

• Plan recommendations and estimated budget were reviewed by the committee. No additional recommendations were made
• Recommendations will be submitted through the administrative process and be included in the U-46 Technology Plan

II. Update on the IS filtering system ( Jeff Lake )

• Administrators and administrator representatives, on a voluntary basis have been scheduled for training for approval of web site
• Schools of administrators who choose not to participate in the approval process will continue to follow current procedures

III. Discussion on improving the software proposal process

• The committee agreed that district-adopted software should go through the same process as textbook adoptions. This process would require approval by Instructional Council and alignment to the district curriculum.
• The current software approval process will continue for building level requests.  Since there are a small number of building requests the current process will continue.
