Welcome to the U-46 Math website

The goal of the U-46 mathematics program is to give our students the skills and knowledge they need to think and reason mathematically, and to use what they have learned to solve problems. The need to understand and be able to use mathematics in everyday life and the workplace has never been greater and will continue to increase. Mathematical competence opens doors to productive futures. We believe that ALL students should have the opportunity and the support necessary to learn significant mathematics with depth and understanding.

General Information - This section provides information on National and State Standards and how they are a part of instruction in U-46.

Math in U-46 - Information on mathematics instruction in the District as well as links to programs used for instruction at the elementary level.  Links to high school and middle school courses are also provided.

Math and Our Students - This section of the web site will be constantly changing as stories from our schools continue to be added. The current story is about the math program at Streamwood High School.

Resources - Links to resources for parents are provided.  New to this site are the Parent-Friendly Standards for Math developed by the U-46 Citizens' Advisory Council
