Advisory Councils

Citizen involvement is vital to school and community relations. While many established initiatives exist, their true success lies in the continual recruitment of new members. Nine advisory groups representing the interests of key community groups meet on a regular basis and assist the district in addressing the needs of our diverse student population: African-American Advisory Council Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) Business Advisory Council Citizens' Advisory Council Clergy Advisory Council Hispanic Advisory Council Senior Citizen Advisory Council Student Advisory Council  People interested in becoming members of an advisory council should contact the Communications Department at 847-888-5000 ext 5003.
