  • Greater Elgin Family Care Center and Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry

    Tuesday, May 7, 2019.  Give Me Five! set up a table to share chapter books for the older children of the 115 families that came out for groceries.  Younger children took home a Nature Bingo activity that included a pack of crayons and a Give Me Five! sticker.  It is always a joy to see children excited for books!

    Tuesday, May 28, 2019.  Give Me Five! is partnering with the WIC classes to share information with expectant families about the importance of attachment and early literacy.  All families were given a packet of Elgin area resources as well as a Mouse Paint book that is in both English and Spanish!

    Baby Fest at Gail Borden Public Library

    Saturday, May 11, 2019.  It was a great day for parents to stop by or "stroller in" to explore the latest baby information in the area.  Give Me Five! was joined by the P.A.T. program to share the important message of how ‘Learning begins at Birth!”  Give Me Five! donated a basket of books and other items that emphasize the importance of Talk, Play, Read, Do and Write!
