  •  EPEL-Language in the Laundromat at JetXpress

    Wednesday, April 18th, 2018. EPEL’s Language in the Laundromat Ribbon Cutting was a huge success!  Tony Sanders, Peggy Ondera and several other U-46 employees attended.  Several children enjoyed taking their turn tossing the bean bag.  All children took home some bubbles!

  • Child Screening Event at Food for Greater Elgin

    Thursday, April 19th, 2018. Parents had the opportunity to do an online screening for their child and receive the results immediately. All families received a Give Me Five! bag of books for children, library information and a couple signed up for Dolly Parton Imagination library. Additional families with young children received a Give Me Five! bag of books.


  • ChildServ - Parent Forum

    Friday, April 20th, 2018. Give Me Five! was honored to present to the families of ChildServ. Parents learned how everyday activities play a role in helping their children be ready for learning in kindergarten. Parents asked questions and were encouraged to share the information with others!  Everyone received a Give Me Five! bag filled with information and the book Mouse Paint.  Children received bubbles and stickers.

  • Hanover Park Community Resource Fair

    Saturday, April 21st, 2018.  This was a fun and informative event for all! The Parent Community Liaisons from More @ 4 teamed up with Give Me Five! to share information with over 200 adults and children. Children took turns tossing the bean bag in the Give Me Five! Bean bag toss, all receiving a prize of crayons, bubbles or a pencil bag!

  • Elgin Family Mobile Food Pantry at Greater Elgin Family Care Center

    Tuesday, April 24th, 2018. Give Me Five!, EPEL and Greater Elgin Family Care Center were available to over 175 families with resources and great information for children and families. Books, Getting Ready for Kindergarten calendars and bubbles were given to young children. It was also an opportunity to sign up for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program!
