• Harriet Gifford's Parent Involvement Committee provides classroom teachers with support to offset the cost of field trips. Providing students with a hands on experience is one of the goals in taking field trips. Teachers are not required to take field trips. However many schedule trips to supplement the curriculum.

    • Lincoln Park Zoo
    • Rockford Discovery Museum
    • Elgin City Hall
    • Springfield
    • Camp Edwards East Troy, WI (Outdoor Ed Day Experience)
    • Chicago

    As part of our Science curriculum, classes visit the U-46 Planetarium
