Mr. Peter La Chance

Mr. La Chance is currently in his 26th year as a professional educator and his first year in U-46.  He began his career in Oswego Unit School District 308 where he served as a 5th grade teacher, 6th grade teacher, and Assistant Principal.  He then accepted a position in CCSD 93 as Assistant Principal of Jay Stream Middle School where he served for two years before being named Principal of Carol Stream School.  In 2008, Mr. La Chance returned to Jay Stream Middle School as the Principal.  He earned Middle School Principal Of The Year honors and was nominated for the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Educational Leadership (Stanley C. Golder Award) while at Jay Stream.  In 2017, Mr. La Chance joined the Roy DeShane School community and led the unification of the Dual Language Program, the CCSD 93 elementary Magnet/Gifted Program, and the monolingual program.   

Mr. La Chance earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, and Masters in Educational Leadership form North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

Mrs. Anne Cordina

Anne Cordina serves as the Interim Assistant Principal at Spring Trail for the 2022-23 school year.  Anne has been with U-46 for several years and has both Secondary and Elementary experience.

 
Over the course of her career, Anne has worked as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, classroom teacher and administrator at all levels PreK-12. Anne says, "As a school leader, I will work to ensure all students’ needs are met, so they can succeed! I love spending time with teachers and their students, getting to know personalities, teaching and learning styles, and interests. I celebrate successes, small and large. I believe school should be a safe and welcoming place for all stakeholders, as it is embedded in the fabric of the community."  It is this passion that we're excited to have Anne share with the Spring Trail community.
 
Anne received her undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University in English and Secondary Education and has experience teaching at both the middle school and high school levels. She earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership with Teacher Leader and Principal endorsements from Aurora University, and participated in the Administrator Academy in D300.  Prior to her new role as the Assistant Principal at Spring Trail, Anne has served as the Assistant Principal at Sycamore Trials, and the Divisional for English, Reading, Library, and Fine & Performing Arts at Streamwood High School. Anne completed her LBS1 Special Education endorsement, and has begun working on her Ed. D in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Coaching and Mentoring at Aurora University. 

When not at school, Anne can be found spending time with her husband, Tim and two children, Delaney (7) and Asher (5).  She likes to exercise, camp, go to the zoo,  and other local attractions with her family.
