One of the favorite parts of my job is watching our students shine in so many different ways! Whether it is in a concert, during a game, on the stage or helping others, our students at Kenyon Woods have so many opportunities to show off their awesomeness!   These last two weeks have been no exception.

Last week our students raised over $900 for the Greater Food Bank of Elgin.  I am proud to say that the lunch period that I sponsored raised the most money therefore, we were the “biggest losers”!  I took a pie in the face to celebrate that event.

Over the weekend our bands performed at the Middle School Music Festival.  It was a day of learning and playing.  What a great opportunity to show off our students’ hard work and dedication to playing their instruments.

Then we get to last night!  Wow!  I was blown away by our students’ performance in the school play “Murder at Aunt Agatha’s”.  I loved seeing our students come alive on stage.  The play was funny and witty and our students’ acting was spot on.  They truly shined under the spotlight.

These are just a few of the opportunities our students have to show off their skills and get involved.  A huge thank you goes out to all the teachers who spend countless hours working with our students and providing them with these awesome experiences.

    As always,

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also DREAM; not only plan, but also BELIEVE!
