Student Life

  • Welcome to our website! Larkin High School believes that all students should be involved and engaged in their school, both in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities. We also strive to help all students be prepared for any post-secondary path that they choose to pursue. As we prepare our students for their successful future, we expect students become critical thinkers and effective communicators and to always be respectful and safe.

Larkin High School has a student body of approximately 2000 students from the west side of the city of Elgin. Our primary feeder middle schools are Kimball Middle School and Abbott Middle School. We offer a wide range of activities for all students. Look through the menu items listed on the left to learn more about all the options that are available at our school.  Note that you can find specific information here from our student handbook, our academic programs, and our athletics program. Clubs that relate to specific student interests are a great way to be involved in the school and they are listed here also. The 5 Star program is a part of our Royal Power program that helps teach students the expectations of the school and rewards those students who are doing it right. Take some time to browse through the many topics using the navigation menu on the left and, as always, GO ROYALS!
