Culture & Climate Teams

The Culture & Climate Department is comprised of two teams: Social Emotional Response Team (SERT) and the Tactical Assessment Team (TAT).

The SERT leads the network strategy in developing, implementing, and maintaining a safe, secure, and nurturing school learning environment that is flexible in meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.

TAT, a multidisciplinary team comprised of three U-46 staff members: teacher lead, school social worker, and school psychologist. TAT works collaboratively with building administration, relevant staff, students, and the family on an Action Plan designed to improve student outcomes, which could include a recommendation of Bloom Academy.  They view behavior(s) through various lenses such as Equity, MTSS, and SEL.

True change requires a focus on creating school culture that supports academic, social, emotional and character development of children."

Maurice Elias, Ph. D
