Mensaje en español se encuentra al final.
May 5, 2020
Dear U-46 Families,
Thank you for those of you who have completed our Community Needs Survey during the past week. That survey closes tonight and we will be sharing results with you later this month.
We are writing to let you know that we are issuing a second survey - just for students - on Monday, May 11. This second survey will ask students to tell us how well they feel included and represented in our U-46 schools.
Students will be asked to share feedback about the broader climate in our schools. The survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Please use the following links to learn more about the survey design and additional resources you can use to support your student before they take the survey.
We are asking that all of our students in grades 4-12 participate in the survey, as their feedback will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how to improve and adapt our district to better meet their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. The responses to these surveys will be completely confidential. We are partnering with a Panorama Education, an educational management company, to administer these surveys. You can read more about Panorama’s student privacy policy here.
Please notify us if you would like your child to opt out of taking the surveys by completing this form with your student’s information by Thursday, May 7.
We thank you in advance for your student’s participation. Their voice is important and we value their input. If you have any questions or concerns about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact us via Let’s Talk.
Finally, parents, if you have not completed the important Community Needs Survey, there is still time. As I noted that survey closes tonight. The survey is anonymous and covers the topics of food and housing needs, technology and internet service, and your child’s distance learning experience to date.
