CAC Committee to Host Program on Anxiety in Children
Jan. 10, 2020
In January, the Specialized Student Services Committee of the Citizens’ Advisory Council (CAC) will host the second part of its two-part series for parents of children with special needs called “Unraveling Anxiety: It’s More Than Just Worries.” The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Poplar Creek Library, 1405 S. Park Ave. in Streamwood.
The presentation will be provided by Joey M. Williams, a clinical psychotherapist at Advanced Behavioral Solutions. This session will help parents better understand anxiety and learn what to look out for in anxious children, teens, and young adults. Mr. Williams will also provide tips on how and when to intervene.
This program is free, and no registration is necessary. The presentation will be in English with interpretation in Spanish. More information can be found here on the CAC website.
