Larkin High School is opening its doors this July to students interested in visual and performing arts for its first Visual and Performing Arts Academy summer camps. There will be two camps held during the month of July. Both camps will be free for all students.
The Summer Art Academy Camp will take place from July 15 to July 18 and will provide a variety of visual arts experiences for U-46 students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in the 2019-20 school year. All classes will be taught by Larkin Academy teachers Sean Murray, Carrie Brannon, and Jamie Miquelon. Content areas to be covered in the camp include sculpture, digital photography, drawing, painting, and printmaking. The camp will concludes with an open house exhibition that parents are encouraged to attend.

The Summer Art Dance Academy Camp will be held during the first four weeks of July for 4th - 12th grade students in School District U-46. The Dance Academy camps will include multiple style technique classes along with rehearsals for a showcase on the last day of camp. All classes are taught by Larkin Dance Academy teachers Margaret Palmer and Kelli Myhre-Bahwell.
