U-46 to Host 11th Annual STEM Expo
Feb. 22, 2019
Students from across School District U-46 will embrace the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through various hands-on experiments during the 11th annual STEM Expo at Bartlett High School on Saturday, Feb. 23.
About 350 students are expected to participate this year, said Deb (Perryman) McMullen, U-46 Coordinator of K-12 Science and Planetarium.
“They get to plan and carry out projects based on their natural curiosities, and then share and defend their results to fellow students, families, and community members at the Expo,” she said. “It’s always an exciting day, and the format reflects the true spirit of the scientific method.”
