What school will you be attending in the fall?
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Major/minor?
Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience.

What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
It's okay to depend on others and ask for help. It does not make you weak if you need a shoulder to cry on.

What is your favorite high school memory?
Chilling in a class as a unified body. Whether it was laughter, silence, or debate, there is something that stands out to me when students can collectively vibe together.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?
Global Studies.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen.
Get involved and hold yourself accountable.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
The hope that if I can make something out of myself I can do things for others. My success isn't just my success, it's my family's, it's my community's, it's so much more than just me. That's why I always wanted to do good.

What are you learning about yourself and the world as we collectively face this global pandemic?
I learned that there is greatness in the experience that can be shared among many. Being a part of something this big has made me feel more a part of the world I live in.
