Focus on long-term achievement and take school seriously from your first semester, but also make sure to form connections with your classmates and teachers.
What or who do you acknowledge for your academic success, and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
I would firstly like to thank my parents, who have always been very helpful and supportive of my academic efforts. I am also very grateful for my teachers, who have always provided assistance in classes when I needed it. Lastly, I appreciate all my friends who are equally studious, as they have always fueled my academic competitiveness and also aided me with assignments.
What life lessons or observations have you gained about yourself, and the world, during the 2021-22 school year?
I learned how resilient people are. Even if it takes time, humans are naturally capable of exploring solutions and executing them. I also learned to be persistent in the face of setback. I went into the year thinking that it would be boring, but I adapted my schedule and changed my plans to still enjoy a fun and engaging high school experience, through athletics, academics, and clubs alike.
