About Us

  • McKinley

McKinley School is an educational learning community that prides itself in providing for the needs of all students and their families. As stated in our mission statement, “we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment in which all students are supported and motivated to reach their full potential as members of society.” All stakeholders in our educational program are involved in making sure this will happen.

The teaching staff shows a high level of commitment. Teachers attend training that prepares them to implement best practices in the classrooms, prepare training sessions for parents, and are willing to provide activities for enjoyment and homework support to students before and after school.

Parent leaders have a vision for uniting all stakeholders in the learning community and work very hard to support the goals of the instructional program. Itinerant staff members enrich the students’ lives with music, art, physical education, special support programs, and other school staff assists in providing an efficient and nurturing learning environment for everyone. Community members are involved in supporting the instructional program through literacy volunteers, special events, assemblies, safety programs, and many other activities.
