8th Grade Recognition Night
All eighth grade students are invited to the Recognition Program; there is not an 8th grade graduation in U-46.
Participation in the program does not indicate a student has successfully completed all requirements to advance to high school.
During this event, students will be asked to stand and be recognized for their academic successes, participation in events, clubs, sports and other activities.
Each student may bring four to five guests. This will insure that we have enough seats in Bartlett High’s gymnasium. (No tickets will be issued.)
Date: May 24th
Time: 6:30 P.M. (doors will open at 6:00)
Place: Bartlett High School, Gymnasium
The Eighth Grade Dance
This activity for our 8th grade class is a perfect time to take pictures, reminisce about the middle school years, recognition and dance the night away.
All eighth grade Eastview students who attend a full day of school on the day of the dance, and who have no discipline issues leading up to the dance and have all their fines paid up in full may attend with a ticket.
The cost for a ticket is $5 and that includes pizza and snacks as well as one beverage (additional drinks may be purchased for $1.)
Tickets must be purchased at school prior to the dance. No tickets will be available at the door.
The dress code for the recognition and the dance is similar to a regular school day with a few exceptions:
Boys: Dress slacks, dress shirt or polo type shirt. No tee shirts, jeans with holes or tuxedos. Ties are optional.
Girls: Casual dresses, skirts/slacks and blouses, pants. No tee shirts or jeans with holes or formal wear (strapless dresses not recommended, and all dresses must be appropriate in length.
Clothing for boys and girls should not be revealing or distracting. Students not dressed acceptably may not participate in the event. Mr. Donner and Ms. Magnuson will make the final determinations.
(The school dress code and additional rules are noted above are in effect during these events.)
I look forward to these evenings (Recognition and Dance) of celebration and fun. I trust that all eighth grade students will be eligible to attend both of these important events. To do so, please maintain appropriate behavior.
We hope that these two events will be a fun, memorable and safe end to your child’s middle school years.
