Principal Marc Spacone

Mr. Marc Spacone served as Larsen’s Assistant Principal starting in 2016, and in the summer of 2021 was named its Principal. 

Previously, Mr. Spacone served as the Director of Student Activities and Dean of Students at East Aurora School District 131 from 2014 to 2016.  From 2012 to 2014 he was a Principal/Site Director for an alternative program supporting school districts in Cook County through the North Cook Intermediate Services Center.  His first administrative experience was at Warren Township High School in Gurnee where he was a Dean of Students. 

Mr. Spacone held many teaching positions in diverse school districts beginning in 1998, including Chicago Public Schools, Thornton Fractional School District 215, and Libertyville High School. 

Since 2013, he has served as an adjunct faculty member in the teaching program at Concordia University where he routinely teaches courses including Teacher as Leader, Teacher as Practitioner, and Curriculum Construction.  

Mr. Spacone holds his Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University, his Masters in Education from DePaul University, a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University, and obtained additional credit hours in educational leadership from Concordia University. 

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife and four children.
