We have 5 dual language classes in our building. In these classes, native Spanish speakers learn in an environment that values their first language as they acquire their second. Dual language is a form of bilingual education in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages.
Dual language programs foster bilingualism, bi-literacy, enhanced awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, and high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages. (Taken from National Dual Language Consortium)
