Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Anne Cordina
I am excited to be a part of the Sycamore Trails family as your new assistant principal. Over the course of my career, I have worked as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, classroom teacher and administrator. While I have held many roles, I consider my most important job is that of advocate. I strongly believe that given the opportunity, tools, resources, and proper support, our students can do anything. As a school leader, I will work to ensure all our students’ needs are met, so they can succeed. I will also spend a lot of time with the teachers and their students, getting to know personalities, teaching and learning styles, and interests. I will celebrate successes, small and large. I will encourage everyone every day, so you know you are valued and have a special place in our school community. School should be a safe and welcoming place for all stakeholders, as it is embedded in the fabric of the community.
I received my undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University in English and Secondary Education and have experienced teaching at both the middle school and high school levels in neighboring District 300. I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership with Teacher Leader and Principal endorsements from Aurora University, and participated in the Administrator Academy in D300. Prior to my role as your assistant principal, I was the Divisional for English, Reading, Library, and Fine & Performing Arts at Streamwood High School.
When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my husband, Tim (also a principal!), and two children, Delaney (4) and Asher (2). We like to exercise, camp, go to the zoo and other local attractions. We would love to travel further distances in the near future.
I look forward to a great school year! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at (630) 213-5641 or email at AnneCordina@u-46.org.
