Horizon Elementary is a Pre K through 6th grade school located in Hanover Park, Illinois.  Horizon is home to 500+ students, with over 30 languages spoken by our families. Our students are proud to be called the Horizon Suns!  Our teachers are life-long learners, with many earning their Master's Degree and additional endorsements like their English Languae Learners endorsement. At Horizon, we work on being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe in our words and actions throughout the building, and we strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for all students to learn in. We are honored to be a Gold level PBIS School. 

Horizon has served our community since October 31st 1977, and has encouraged community engagement through activities like our Day of Honor (Veteran's Day) Celebration and our partnership with the Village of Hanover Park who supports our curriculum focus of local government through guest speakers and village field trips. We are very proud our our Horizon garden, which has been supplying fresh vegabables to Horizon families and local pantries for the past few years now. Our students have focused on service projects that support Anderson Animal Hospital and local food banks.
