I was born and raised in Streamwood and I attended elementary, middle, and high school in U-46.  I even went to Canton & Streamwood High School!  Upon entering Illinois State University in 2001, I studied elementary education and graduated in 2005.  I started my teaching career at Hillcrest Elementary School teaching 6th grade before coming to Canton in 2013.  I love teaching in my hometown where I grew up!   After graduating with my Bachelor’s of Science Degree, I went on to get my Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University in 2008.  In order to continue my education even further, I pursued my English as a Second Language Endorsement from Olivet Nazarene University from 2014-2015.  I have been a lifelong learner and love teaching!
