Dear U-46 Staff and Families:

Our Health Services Department and Human Resources spent the weekend clearing staff members who had been in quarantine using the updated guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health.  Thanks to their diligent work, all U-46 schools will be open tomorrow, Monday, January 10.

In our collective effort to keep our staff and students safe and healthy and our schools open, it is important to keep your child home and notify your principal or school nurse if your child has tested positive for COVID-19 or is showing any symptoms of having COVID-19. When notifying the schools, it is important to be as specific as possible so we can follow up appropriately. 

As a reminder, masks must be worn properly in all U-46 facilities by students and staff. Social distancing is encouraged to the extent possible. We also will continue to discourage visitors at this time.  

We will continue to monitor our data, and collaborate with our local health departments, as we make decisions regarding any classroom or school closings. Thank you for your cooperation and continued efforts as we all work together to ensure the safety of all our students and staff.

Todas las escuelas del Distrito U-46 estarán abiertas el 10 de enero

Estimado Personal y Familias del Distrito U-46:

Nuestro departamentos de Servicios de Salud y Recursos Humanos pasaron el fin semana aprobando el regreso del personal que estaba bajo cuarentena al seguir las recomendaciones actualizadas del Departamento de Salud Pública de Illinois. Gracias a su arduo trabajo, todas las escuelas del Distrito U-46 estarán abiertas mañana, lunes, 10 de enero.

En nuestro esfuerzo colectivo por mantener a nuestro personal y estudiantes seguros y saludables, y nuestras escuelas abiertas, es importante mantener a su hijo(a) en casa y notificar al director(a) o a la enfermera si su hijo(a) ha dado positivo en la prueba de COVID-19, o si muestra algún síntoma de tener COVID-19. Al avisarle a la escuela, es importante ser específico para poder darle el seguimiento de manera apropiada. 

Como recordatorio, los estudiantes y el personal deben usar cubrebocas correctamente dentro de todas las instalaciones del Distrito U-46. Se recomienda el distanciamiento social en la medida que sea posible. También seguiremos evitando las visitas en este momento.

Seguiremos monitoreando nuestros datos y mantendremos a nuestras familias informadas sobre las clases. Gracias por su cooperación y esfuerzos continuos mientras trabajamos juntos para procurar la seguridad de todos nuestros estudiantes y personal.
