I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2011, where I was a part of the Northern Illinois Marching Huskie band in the color guard,  and then I received my Teaching License from Judson University in 2012. I have been teaching since 2013, but have only been in U46 since 2019. I grew up in U46 (Woodland Heights, Glenbrook, Canton, and Streamwood) and always knew I wanted to end up teaching here! I have been the color guard Head Coach/Marching Band Assistant at Elgin High School since 2013 and I love every exhausting minute of it! I've been married since March 2017 and my husband is also a teacher in U46.
