New Lowrie Elementary Principal starting with 2024-25 school year
New principal to lead Lowrie Elementary School starting with 2024-25 school year
April 23, 2024
Dear Lowrie Elementary School Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Natalie Poli has been selected to serve as the Principal of Lowrie Elementary School beginning with the 2024-25 school year. She strives to create an environment of enthusiasm and trust through open, honest, and transparent communication, focused on student achievement and learning.
For the last two years, Mrs. Poli has been the Assistant Principal at Laurel Hill Elementary School, where she’s placed culturally responsive teaching at the core of her leadership. She has collaborated regularly with the school’s instructional coach, developed and implemented professional development opportunities for staff, and created an action board to help chart progress on school goals regarding core instruction, data, and attendance. She works closely with the District’s Special Education Administrator to ensure compliance with federal and state mandates to provide services for special education students.
At the District level, she serves as a member of the Teacher Appraisal Plan Oversight Committee.
Before joining U-46, Mrs. Poli was a district instructional coach for Roselle School District 12, which serves elementary and middle school students. There, she led professional discussions about research-based instructional methods, assisted teachers to support their students’ academic and behavioral needs, and administered annual assessments across the district. She also provided modeling and co-teaching of a variety of proven instructional methods to help boost teacher confidence.
Mrs. Poli transitioned to a career in education about 10 years ago after working for several years as a paralegal and corporate recruiter and serving on her local school board.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and communication from the University of Iowa, a Master of Arts in elementary education from National Louis University, and an Education Specialist degree in educational leadership and administration from Walden University.
Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Poli on her new role at Lowrie Elementary School.
Sincerely,
Ms. Sarah Rabe
