Apryl Lowe has been principal at Illinois Park Elementary since 2010. Prior to that, she began her teaching career at Independence Early Learning Center for 7 years. She also worked as an Early Reading First Coach in the U-46 District, and taught at Illinois Park Early Learning Center for two years. In addition to teaching in the U-46 District, Ms. Lowe was Preschool Coordinator for Geneva School District 304 for three years before she accepted the position of Principal of Illinois Park. 

Apryl holds an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood/ Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master’s Degree from National Louis University and a second Master’s Degree and Administrative Endorsement from Northern Illinois University. 

Ms. Lowe is excited to be part of the Elgin Community and believes that all students can gain a greater educational opportunity for their futures at Illinois Park.
