Mr. Jack Shepherd

I am delighted to begin my fifth year at Hanover Countryside School. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a dedicated staff and community that place an emphasis on academic and social achievement for each of our students. With our focus on outstanding attendance, positive behavior, and academic success, we continue to work on constantly improving the overall performances at Hanover Countryside!

I obtained my Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from National Louis University and my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. I finished my undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1989 and began my teaching career in Des Plaines, IL. I spent 16 years as a teacher in Des Plaines, teaching grades two through four. Before coming to Hanover Countryside, I had the opportunity to spend five years in administration, including a year at a Two-Way Dual Language school in Iowa.

My family includes my wife, Mary Jo, and my five children: Matthew, Johnny, Abby, Josie, and Annabelle. I enjoy being active outdoors and reading in my spare time. You might even see me running or biking in the neighborhood.

Please feel free to email me should you ever need to be in touch.
