    Centennial School has earned an "Exemplary Academic Performance" rating from the Illinois Superintendent of Schools from 2006 to 2012. Also, the school has achieved adequate yearly progress on the ISAT test from 2004 to 2012. In addition, Centennial Elementary School was ranked the top elementary school on the Illinois state testing in School District U-46 by the Chicago Tribune in 2012. There are 40 elementary schools in School District U-46. 

    The school has received a grant from Exxon Mobile to expand our reading support programs for seven years in a row.
