  • U-46 is proud to have 95 languages represented among our students. Parkwood Elementary Principal Ana Arroyo was looking for a way to boost the sense of belonging among her students and envisioned offering greetings in a variety of languages. She reached out to Liberty Elementary School, where the District’s elementary ESL program is housed. Liberty Principal Stephanie Sylvester enlisted her staff to record themselves saying “good morning, have a beautiful day” or a similar phrase in a dozen languages. Enjoy this video, and please feel free to use it in your own building to enhance a sense of belonging!
