U-46, and especially Hanover Countryside, love our parent volunteers. We don't want to lose anyone who is willing to donate their valuable time, however a major change has occurred in the District Policy. Effective immediately all volunteers in U-46 will need to be given a criminal background check for the safety and security of all of our students. This policy applies to volunteers on field trips. Any person who is not an employee or student in the district will have to submit to this criminal background check in order to volunteer for assisting on field trips. Fingerprinting will be done at the district office, 355 E. Chicago Street, Elgin, IL on all school days between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Human Resource Office located on the ground floor.
In order to be fingerprinted you will need to have a photo ID and a completed "Permission to Fingerprint" form. I urge you to visit them soon, so you can be an approved volunteer at our earliest needs. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at school.
Thank you for your generosity and understanding,
Jack Shepherd, Principal
