The Coleman Community takes part in a variety of community service projects that support the Character Counts philosophy. Below is a list of the service projects that you can support throughout the school year.

Elgin Lions Club Food Collecting Bin                                 

Throughout the school year, you can donate non-perishable items to be donated to the local Lions Club. The food can be dropped off at the main entrance to Coleman in a red garbage can in the corner. 

Holiday Giving Tree

You can donate hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and/or clothes to be dispersed to local families in need. 

Northern Illinois Food Bank

Once a year, the students participate in a Penny Wars competition.  All proceeds from this are donated to the food bank.  In the past, we have raised over $1500.
