    • Mr. Brian E. BrennanI am excited to embark upon my fourth year as a member of the Hillcrest family through my role as Assistant Principal!  I am looking forward to a successful year and would like to express my belief that all students can achieve their dreams through equitable education.  I received my undergraduate degree from Purdue University in Social Studies Secondary Education and have taught at both the middle school and high school levels. I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Teacher Leader and Principal endorsements from Northeastern Illinois University.  Prior to my role as your Assistant Principal, I was a Dean of Students at Streamwood High School. Before my career in U-46, I spent 20+ years in Chicago Public Schools.  In addition to teaching Social Studies, I was the Culture & Climate Coordinator and Department Chair at my school.  I also assisted the district in developing their Civics and Personal Finance curriculum.  I am a true believer in lifelong learning and am an avid reader.

I grew up around the world, including Ireland, Belgium as well as various states.  I believe it is important to use my multi-cultural experiences to make connections with students.  When I am not at school, I am spending time with my wife Jessica and our daughters Molly and Nora.
