Dr. Glenda Rosado

Dr. Glenda Rosado brings more than a decade of leadership experience to her role as principal of Hillcrest Elementary School in Elgin.
Before joining School District U-46, Dr. Rosado served as the Interim Excel Academy Administrator at East Aurora School District 131 where she also served as assistant principal, principal, assistant director of the bilingual department and executive director of elementary teaching and learning.
During her tenure in East Aurora School District, Dr. Rosado led a review of the district's strategic vision and efforts that had significant community and staff involvement and resulted in a renewed approach in improving student achievement.
Dr. Rosado has also served as a bilingual education teacher in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 and Chicago Public Schools, as well as an adjunct professor at Aurora University and University of St. Francis.
Her roles have proactively engaged families and communities in supporting their child’s learning and the school learning goals. She has created and supported an instructional climate that values, accepts, and understands diversity in culture and point of view and sets high expectations and aspirations for every student.
Dr. Rosado earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Roosevelt University, and attended University of St. Francis for her Master of Arts degree in elementary education, a second Master of Science degree in educational leadership and a Doctorate in educational leadership.
