Asima Bhatty – Resident Administrator
We are pleased to welcome our new Resident Administrator, Asima Bhatty, to Hilltop for the 2024-2025 school year! Beginning her seventh year in education, Ms. Bhatty brings a wealth of knowledge in culturally responsive instructional practices and social emotional learning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Elmhurst University, a Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Northwestern University, and is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. Combining her Chicagoland roots with the experience of living in three different continents, Ms. Bhatty embodies an equitable and collaborative approach to leadership.
Through five years of teaching in both primary and intermediate diverse classroom settings, she has a sound understanding of strategic planning, curriculum and assessment across grade levels. Equipped with knowledge as a Social Emotional Learning Facilitator, Ms. Bhatty instills values of effective collaboration, empathy and a nurturing sense of belonging among students and staff.
Joining our U-46 school district last year, Ms. Bhatty combines her expertise as a Literacy Specialist Coach with strong school leadership competencies to make meaningful connections with students, staff and community. Ms. Bhatty is an advocate of agency and collective efficacy; she inspires to cultivate growth and empower others to be changemakers. Ms. Bhatty is committed to nurturing student growth as optimal learners, empathetic individuals and empowered future leaders. A lifetime member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a prestigious National Leadership Honors Society, she exemplifies lifelong learning through reflection and growth. As a school leader, Ms. Bhatty is driven by uplifting others with hopes of sparking creativity and igniting joy in our important work as educators.
