Blind Service Association Scholarship (BSA)
Every year, the Blind Service Association awards individual scholarships of up to $3,000 to young people
planning to attend a professional school, college, or university. Applications are judged according to
academic merit, evidence of community service, and need.Eligible students must be legally blind, reside in Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, McHenry, or Kane counties, and be enrolled/accepted in an accredited
degree program during the fall of 2024.For an application, please stop by the guidance office of South Elgin High School.

FranCenter/Robert Cleveland and Kenneth Dodge Memorial Scholarship
The FranCenter of Darien, Illinois has two $750 scholarships available to high school seniors with a diagnosed learning disability in their elementary or secondary school year.
Verification by school personnel will qualify the applicant.
These scholarships will be awarded in part on the basis of financial needs.
Applications are available at the guidance office of South Elgin High School.

Dean Ritter Trust for the Deaf and Hard of HearingSeniors in good standing who have significant (moderate to profound) hearing loss in one or both ears intend on enrolling in an accredited university or technical school. Recipients will be chosen based on financial needs and school/community involvement.
