WHENEVER A FEE IS PAID, A SMALL PROCESSING COST IS ALSO CHARGED
*Cost is $10.00 per year. For a new license, you pay for the current fiscal year plus five additional fiscal years.
**Renewal cost is $10.00 per year. You pay for five full years.
***The Paraprofessional license registration cost is $5.00 per year. For a new license, you pay for the current year, plus five additional years.
Every educator is required to pay a registration fee. An individual who moves from one region to another after paying a registration fee for their particular cycle;
- will be required to register their license in a new region; but
- will not be required to pay an additional registration fee.
When a registration fee is paid, the amount due shall be the amount required to register the license for its current entire cycle of validity.
ALL licenses for educators employed within School District U-46 MUST be registered in Kane County (31-KANE ROE)

Reimbursement Information
Substitute Licensure Reimbursement:
Upon working 10 or more full school days within a year of receiving your license, a request for refund on the license fee may be submitted to ISBE. The application refund request must be submitted within 18 months from the date of issuance of the new license. All refunds will be credited back to the credit/debit card used to make the payment.

Paraeducator Licensure Reimbursement:
The District will reimburse employees required to hold the state paraprofessional license the licensing and renewal fee. The employee will be required to submit for reimbursement within the necessary proof that the license was granted or renewed and that the employee paid the required fee, within the previous ninety (90) days.
