Welcome to my page and actually taking the time to read about me!!

I received my Bachelors in Science in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois @ Chicago in 2002.  I then went on to do graduate work at DePaul University and received my Masters in Education in Teaching and Learning Secondary Science Education in 2005.

From 2000-2013, I coached Freshmen, JV, and Varsity Badminton at New Trier Township HS.   

From 2005-2016, I taught Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and AP Biology for Chicago Public Schools.  I was also heavily involved with the CPS Science Fair and chaired various CPS networks for 6 years.  I also tech directed the annual spring musical at my high school for 4 years.  

From 2016-2018, I joined the food service industry to take a break from education, as well as move out of the City of Chicago.

From 2017-2018, I subbed for District 214.

From 2018 to present, I was privileged to join the U-46 district and incredibly happy to be at DREAM Academy HS.  I taught Biology, Human Anatomy and Environmental Science last year.  This year, I am teaching Biology, Chemistry AND Environmental Science. .

I just got married in 2019, but I decided to keep my maiden name to avoid confusion.

I have 2 cats (Gummy and Ollie) and 1 hamster (Doctor Roo).  

I also love to play Pokemon Go, Mario Kart, CSGO, and Star Citizen.
