Mrs. Stan has been in School District U46 since 2001. She started her career as a classroom teacher at Channing Elementary and moved to Otter Creek where she taught for many years. Mrs. Stan left Otter Creek  to work as an Instructional Coach at Harriet Gifford and McKinley Elementary Schools. 

Mrs. Stan received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, a master's degree in Teaching from Aurora University, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. 

Mrs. Stan believes that all children deserve a positive educational experience, both academically and emotionally. Through her roles and opportunities in School District U46, she has built a foundation of excellence that will be passed to students and staff of Otter Creek Elementary.
