Attendance is an essential component to a student’s academic success. The process of education requires instruction that is based on skill building, class participation, learning experiences and study. All schools in our district have an attendance goal of 98%.
In order to meet that goal, we will be closely monitoring student absences. While we do not want students coming to school sick, we also want to make sure that every effort is made to ensure students are here when they are healthy.
We would like to recognize good attendance. We have established an attendance honor roll for classes with 98% or higher attendance and honorable mention for those with 97% or higher.
If your student does need to be absent from school due to illness, family emergency, vacation, etc., please make sure to report the absence on the school Attendance Line by calling 847-888-6995. Leave your students name, teacher, and reason for the absence.
