My name is Rachel Pinkepank, and I am honored to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Channing Elementary School. I share in our school's vision that all of our students will learn, grow, and succeed academically, socially and emotionally. I am dedicated to working with our entire staff to empower our students so that students learn to be self-aware, responsible decision makers in our community.

The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 16th year in education. I started my educational career as a fifth grade teacher in Chicago. I then moved on to be a teacher in East Aurora, where I taught fourth grade and second grade. During that time, I received my Masters of Arts in Reading Education and have spent the last ten years in literacy positions, supporting students across grade levels K-6. At the end of my 15th year of teaching, I completed my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership through North Central College.  

I firmly believe that every student at Channing can succeed. I promise to consistently interact with students, parents, and community members efficiently, keeping student achievement at the forefront of all our conversations. 

Please remember that my door is always open to you. I genuinely encourage your participation and input throughout this year. I look forward to celebrating our shared accomplishments during the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year!
