It is my pleasure to serve as the principal of the Channing Cheetahs where all students LEARN, GROW, and SUCCEED. Every year I look forward to working with teachers, families and the Elgin community to offer our students a rigorous, safe and rewarding educational experience.
I have been an educator for more than 25 years, beginning my career as an English/ESL teacher in Chicago Public Schools in 1994 at Roberto Clemente High School. In 2006 I became an assistant principal at Roosevelt High School in Chicago’s diverse Albany Park neighborhood. In 2011 I joined School District U-46 to serve as the assistant principal of Elgin High School, Home of the Maroons. Several years later, in 2016, I was honored to be chosen as Channing’s principal.
My husband and I are the proud parents of two young boys who love to swim, learn about dinosaurs, and accompany me to Channing’s monthly Family Nights.
