Ms. Amanda Miranda-Flores

Amanda Miranda-Flores, a dedicated educator, joins us with 13 years of experience in the classroom and is in her second year as a resident administrator. She has been devoted to U-46’s Dual Language Program during her tenure thus far in the district as a member of the District Equity Committee, the Dual Language Advocacy Committee, SIP/CIP committees, and the U-46 Rising committee. She has devoted a considerable amount of time to constructing equitable learning environments for all learners. She is hoping to lean on these experiences to help shape a better learning experience for the young learners at Channing Memorial Elementary. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, has completed one Masters degree in Spanish Literature, one in Business Administration, and will be completing her Masters in Educational Leadership at NIU during her tenure with us. She lives in West Dundee with her dog Merlin, enjoys reading, traveling, and dancing Argentine tango. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone, contributing in any way she can to improving student outcomes, and helping to make teacher’s lives a little easier.
