The Tiger Community cut the ribbon on a newly renovated and expanded Kimball Middle School, kicking off an exciting new chapter for students, employees and the Elgin community!
The newly expanded learning environment will welcome sixth graders for the first time this fall as Kimball transitions to a true sixth through eighth grade middle school model.
The building features new classrooms, science labs, collaborative spaces, an updated athletics area and a bright new cafetorium, which were all designed to support learning, connection and belonging.
“But a beautiful building alone doesn't make a great school. Our students, employees, families, and the relationships we build together are what will bring these spaces to life,” said Kimball Principal Charlotte Coleman.
