Community involvement in our schools and District supports a positive educational experience for U-46 students and families, and stronger communities. We are better together. While many established initiatives exist, their success depends on the continual recruitment of new members. Several advisory groups representing the interests of key community members meet on a regular basis and assist the District in addressing the needs of our diverse student population. They include:
- African-American Advisory Council
- Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC)
- Community Advisory Council (CAC)
- Faith Leaders Advisory Council
- Instructional Council
- Student Advisory Council
People interested in becoming members of an advisory council should contact Karla Jimenez, Coordinator of Family & Community Engagement, at 847-888-5000 ext. 4211.
