Childhood Education offers students the chance to focus on child growth and care from conception through childhood, acquire techniques and skills necessary to promote healthy physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. They can then go on to study developmental characteristics, learning styles, with health and safety considerations. They will further develop teaching skills in our on-site Little Royal Pre-School. All of this preparing them for careers working with children (i.e. teachers, social workers, counselors, pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, etc.). They will also move on to serve as a classroom assistant in a U-46 elementary or middle school on a daily basis. Note: This course is designed for students with career interests related to teaching and education. (Transportation is the responsibility of the student.)
