Ana Arroyo

Ana Lizza Arroyo, principal of Parkwood Elementary School, began working in School District U-46 more than 10 years ago. Since then, Principal Arroyo has served in a variety of roles, including as a bilingual education teacher at Sheridan Elementary School and the Administrative Intern at Liberty Elementary School. Principal Arroyo spent two years in District 158 in Algonquin as the English Language Learners director from 2008 to 2010. Before her first position in U-46, she taught in Chicago Public Schools and at a private school.  
 
Principal Arroyo got her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Interamerican University and two master's degrees from NIU, the first in Education with ESL and ELL endorsements, and the second in Educational Administration. She received certifications from NIU in Administration, ESL/Bilingual Education and Gifted Education. She also earned a special education endorsement from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
